Twice as Nice

Sugar and spice and everything nice.  That's what little girls are made of.  I was so lucky to have a shoot with these sweet girls.  I was a little unsure as to how it would all go.  These girls are shy, super shy

So I asked their mom, my friend Lindsay, to see if the girls would be less shy if she wasn't in the same room.

She left and the girls left their shyness behind.  We learned about their American girl dolls.

 We had a tea party.

And we visited their awesome room.  Which has been redecorated in my favorite shade of green.  I don't know what you call it, but I like it.

Audrey and Chloe look everything alike and nothing alike at the same time.

I felt so happy to be in the presence of girly girls.  Ones who like to play with dolls and wear dresses and whose hair is combed.

This is a complete opposite to my household.  My home favors the testosterone on crack persuasion.  We live for dirt and matted hair, and even breakfast faces (you know, saving it for later on your face).  And don't get me wrong, I crave being with my boys, I LOVE dirt and worms, and puppy dog tails and whatever else boys are made of.  But, a little pink and cute and quiet never hurt anyone.

I kept thinking how awesome it is to have a sister that looks like you and understands you.

You may fight and have a few disagreements.  You might even say she is a creepy creeper once in a while.  But doggoneit if anyone else ever says word one negatively in that beloved girls direction.

I speak from personal experience.  I do not have a twin.  My sis is tall, dark and gorgeous.  People used to think we looked alike when it was cool for me to perm my hair in the early 90's.  It's just not cool anymore.  But my sis's tresses are timeless.  I digress...

Thank you Chloe and Audrey for being so good and letting me get some stellar pictures of you lovely girls.  I had fun and cannot wait to hang out again.  Now go and hug your sister!
