Pregnancy, it is a rough and beautiful process to experience once, maybe twice. I personally favored the four times experience and look, I am still sane...
barely.
I met Serissa and her gorgeousness a week before she was to deliver another little precious baby girl. I was expecting someone to look like I did at 39 weeks pregnant. Swollen in the face, wincing when they walk because their sciatica was so bad, or stopping every few minutes because they are feeling braxton hicks contractions. I can honestly say Serissa was none of the above.
She was practically regal in her walk and appearance. She made me consider having a fifth just to attempt to look as beautiful in a pregnant state as she did. But then I remembered, I hate being pregnant... so that thought left and my husband is speaking to me again.
That little baby was just a basketball, a small one in her belly. Serissa looked amazing.
Her husband and daughter were so doting and sweet that beautiful morning in Wash Park.
I love this next series of shots, they are so expressive...
This shoot was special to me for many reasons, one of which was because my niece Taylor came along with her DSLR to shoot as well. It was so fun to hang with my 14 year-old niece experience something I love, photography.
This was the perfect shoot for teaching purposes. I had the best subjects imaginable, gorgeous, kind, and great with child. I couldn't have asked for a better shoot.
This next image epitomizes that last week of motherhood and all it's grace and waiting. This picture makes me think of the nobility in carrying a child and giving birth. It makes me think of the patience and long waiting that goes into being pregnant. Serissa bore this burden with grace and beauty.
Her sweet daughter waited to. Waited to become that big sister we all dream of. The one who will love and glare at the intruding precious baby all at the same time.
Thank you Serissa for taking my breath away with your beauty and elegance in your maternal state. Thank you Taylor for shooting with me. I had the best time.

What a great shoot, Becca! Beautiful mama and awesome photos! :o) Love it!
